Ok, so I was browsing Deviant Art like I am known to do and I was browsing pixel art because I am a huge fan of old school 2d games and the genre of art they produced ie pixel art.

Now on Deviant Art there happens to be a lot of gals who do these things called pixel dolls. They design all sorts of cool costumes for the dolls etc and well, because of my attraction to all things pixely, I am like a moth unto fire.

So I was browsing through this one chicks gallery,

and she had a lot of cool pixel work, so I went to her main page to add her to watch list and saw she was having a contest. So you take one of the heads she made here:

And you play dress up. Which is gay for a dude. But its pixel art so I am conflicted. So I said screw it, I love the way they look, I love pixel art, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna enter the contest:

In fact, the contest wasn't even why I entered, I just finally decided to take the plunge into pixel hell. So this is my first pixel art collab. I consider it a collaboration cause Lulan did the head so I can't call it my own per say.

So anyway, I think it came out nice, I dig it, Lulan's face worked well as the center piece and stands out well. Did it in Photoshop every couple days when I had time here and there.

And I think since Lulan popped my pixel cherry so to speak (Oh dear God I did not just say that) and that I will work on making some of my own characters into pixel art, especially my company mascot duo of Helter and Skelter.

So anyway, it's a snake chick, I tried to give her weird blue veins without ruining her skin. She is overly pink in color, old ripped up human dress she found, wild hair just because, elf ears from Lulan's doll head as well. That's grass blowing around near the rock she is on, I tried not to give her man hands, not because I care but I know some people bitch about womens feet and hands. That's some sort of foliage/forest with a moon in the background.

And with that, I shall now go hide my shame of making something so girly with a ton of new submissions. Thank you.
